An mmo made in java is not a Runescape clone it's a java game. There are no other games like Runescape, No one seems to understand that graphic style and world styles have nothing to do with playing Runescape. this list is like adventure quest (don't make me laugh, trying to put that up there with one of the world's most popular games) and diablo clones which the majority got bored of about a decade ago. only thing that lets runescape down is the pasty java graphics and burn out from repetition. sure some of them have good graphics and you can grind your heart out, but runescape is so much more than that, loads of useful skills to train be it combat, making your own weapons armour potions and loads of stuff that has nothing to do with combat, massive community and clans, loads of quests bother easy and challenging. The game can be played in your browser and had milions of. But some tasks are nice to do on mobile.None of these games are even remotely anything like runescape, or anywhere near as good for that matter. Runescape is one of the oldest still populair MMO games of all times.

Grind out old school Runescape again with its addictively hard levelling system, and explore the different play-modes, like the difficult ‘Ironman’ mode where you cant get any help from other players or their items. In the past, the client was an alternative to playing the game in a browser. However, it's suuuper unstable and crashes very often. A new, fresh game (with no players) similar to this would probably struggle to find people to keep itself alive. The Java Client is the Old School RuneScape launcher built by Jagex for desktop platforms.
